Crown Suave, born Jessica Jenkins, is a cutting edge R&B and Hip Hop music producer, engineer and songwriter from Newark, NJ. She’s from the city that birthed music pioneers such as Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature and many more. Growing up, bumping into Naughty By Nature at the corner store or seeing Queen Latifah on a video shoot wasn’t unlikely. Being surrounded by so much energy and inspiration and coming from a musical background, it is no surprise that a passion for music began to flourish.
Enthusiastic to learn about music production and audio engineering, Crown Suave enrolled at The Institute of Audio Research in New York, New York and graduated with Honors in 2005. Her drive then landed her an internship at Sean Comb’s Daddy’s House Recording Studio in New York, New York.
In 2012, Crown Suave received the Suggested Artist songwriting award from Song Of The Year. Crown Suave has been busy creating hard hitting, innovative Hip Hop and sensual, velvety, crisp R&B tracks. Impressed with her creativity, film director Eugene Graham sought after Crown Suave to produce music for his upcoming documentary titled, “Something For The Ladies.” She also produced for artists such as L Bugatti “Giuseppe Gang.” Her musical peers says that they hear different emotions in her music and it pulls them.
